“We stayed at the Barracuda at the end of April for my sisters hen do. All the girls thoroughly enjoyed our mad get away, especially as we booked it as last minute holidays and saved a bomb!
barracudaRooms were clean, food was varied and good (we were all inclusive). All the nightlife was close by so we would have drinks by the pool (making the most of our all inclusive deal) and then hit the town. We never got back to the hotel much before 5 but this was fine as most of the people staying there were on hen or stag parties.
Wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families with children (haven’t got children of my own so i could be wrong saying that) as it did become rowdy at times but would definitely recommend it for couples wanting some lively night life, hen and stag parties.
We (just us girls) have decided to book again for next year, can’t wait.”

Magaluf beach

Magaluf beach

In Magaluf you will find high-rise hotels and apartment blocks line along an impressive sandy beach, with bars, restaurants and discos. Magaluf is known more for it’s stag and hen do’s and pub crawls than it’s culture, of which there is very little! In the mid 1990s the local council pulled down 20 of the worse hotels in a bid to raise the tone of the resort, but it still remains a big piece of England abroad.

Magaluf is noisiest from June to September and some hotels openly admit that families would not want to stay with them during this period. In the winter months many of the rowdier nightspots close down and the hotels market themselves to the older visitor.

Magaluf has a 1 km long clean, white sandy beach where kite surfing, jet skiing and parascending can be arranged. Nearby there is tennis and karting nearby, plus the Aquacity waterpark on the edge of the resort.

There is endless evening entertainment, the Pirates Adventure themed dinner and show is a must see for all the family.

WEATHER
The weather in Magaluf is generally decent. It can get very hot in the middle of summer, but the shoulder seasons are beautiful and the winters are mild, with the Serra de Tramuntana protecting the resort from the worst of the rains.

The average temperature in the resort fluctuates from 11 degrees in January to 20 degrees in April, 27 in July and August, 22 in October and 18 in November. On a really hot day in July the temperature can rise above 40 degrees.

NIGHTLIFE
Magaluf heaves with bars and nightclubs, mostly on what is known as ‘the Strip’. The nightclubs are a toned-down version of those on Ibiza.
The biggest Magaluf club, both in size and reputation, is BCM. This massive nightclub is filled with three million gallons of bubbles on its foam nights. Some of the best-known dance DJs in Britain play here during the summer. Other leading lights of the club world include the 70s-themed Carwash, Bananas, and Boomerangs, with its mix of R&B and hip hop.

THE WESTERN WATERPARK
The Western Water Park Magaluf is a family-oriented venue just outside Magaluf. This is a large water park with a wild-west theme.

Here you will find waterslides and pools, rides and jacuzzis for the adults.

The park also offers a variety of shows, including the Oliver Water show (a diving display), a falconry display, a small animal farm, a Wild West town where can-can dancers and knife-throwers perform, pony and train rides for children, plus restaurants and numerous ice-cream buying opportunities.

The Western Water Park Magaluf is open all year round. It is located at Carretera Cala Figuera Sa Porrasa 12-22.
